Synopsis:

Chase Winters is the bane of my existence.

But he is also the lifeline of my heart and soul. Literally.

Things are steaming up between us and between the sheets. When his lips aren’t locked with mine, they were spewing verbal crap. Half the time I didn’t know whether to kiss him or slap him. Our bond is more than just being connected—we are soulbond. The closer we get, the stronger the bond takes hold, and now-a-days it seems we are inseparable.

There is a new addition to our little town, one that has all the Divisa’s on guard—a hunter has taken up residency. This hunter is not just another threat, not when their identity hit so close to home. Strife divides my neighbor’s household surrounding this supposed enemy. Could they be friend or foe?

Chase’s number one priority in all this as always, is to keep me safe.

Regardless of what Chase thinks, I am not a weak and fragile human. And there is nothing I won’t do to keep Chase from harm. He might drive me up a freaking wall, but he is my pain in the ass. I am not about to sit back and let some hunter fire an arrow through his heart. Not if I can help it.

Then there is the one question that is on everyone’s mind: Will the hunter kill us or save us…

Review:

Let me just saw…Chase Winters is HOTT. Like holy cow guys, who wouldn’t want a piece of him? I totally fell for him and am a proud team Chase member! He is protective, rough, strong…everything a half-demon should be and its no wonder that Angel can’t help falling for him, with, or without the bond sealing their souls together. Just as Chase and Angel seem to sort their shit out, a HUGE plot twist is thrown in. Now, after reading the first book, we get introduced to the idea of the Hunters, people who have found out about the devisa and are out for blood. What we don’t see coming will through you for a loop. Travis’s lost love, Emma, who randomly disappears, leaving Travis to spiral out of control resurfaces and all hell breaks loose.

Love, angst, and soul bindings are all here as love is tested and Chase must choose if he is going to finally give in to the deep possessive feelings he has building towards Angel, or if leaving her alone would be the better course of action. He tainted her soul…could he handle being the means of her end?

This book is an excellent book, and while the first novel in the series, Saving Angel, resembles closely to the novel Obsidian, by Jennifer L. Armentrout, the characters all form complex feelings and emotions, separating them from any associated books. The plot, while somewhat predictable, still somehow manages to through surprises and twists, leaving you guessing and doubting yourself on future events. I rate this 8 out of 10. This book is a good read, one I highly recommend y’all read (after reading Saving Angel…duh!). After you read this, you can’t help but love the characters and anxiously waiting to read more.
